For the first time, the national championships for men’s and women’s gymnastics will be held in the City of Anaheim. The 2017 P&G Gymnastics Championships will be held at Anaheim’s Honda Center on August 17 – 20, 2017.

This is good news for those who will be visiting the Downtown Disney District, which is merely 12 minutes away from the Honda Center. As we all know, Downtown Disney is an outdoor entertainment, shopping, and dining area located between the Disneyland Resort’s two theme parks. You can easily go to Honda Center to watch the championships and then go back to Downtown District during the evening or even later in the night to experience its vivacious and spirited atmosphere.

Aside from the gymnastics event, the USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show will also be held at the Anaheim Convention Center from August 16 – 19, 2017. Winners in the P&G Championships will have the opportunity to join the junior and senior elite levels of the US national team. The championships are traditionally a part of the US team selection process for the World Championships.

Indeed, this is an important competition with the best gymnasts flaunting their routines and acrobatic moves. Anaheim has been known as a premier destination for sports and entertainment. Holding the gymnastics championships in the city will meaningfully add to that reputation.
