The month of March is full of excitement at the Downtown Disney area and between the warming weather, influx of Spring Break guests, and lively events surrounding the area, the Downtown Disney is sure to be filled to the brim in March. From Saint Patrick’s Day making everyone feeling like they are Irish, to revelers at the ESPN Zone, and Spring Break fans and shoppers in every shop, the Downtown Disney area is going to be a popular area in March.
By far, the biggest event of March will be St Patrick’s Day at the Downtown Disney area. This event, which is the traditional celebration of Irish ancestry and heritage, will feature local events from musicians, local restaurants, and plenty of local celebrations. You will certainly find one or more Irish food specials at a number of the local Downtown Disney selection of excellent cuisine offerings. Additionally, plenty of green will be on display and available from local stores as they cater to the shoppers who aspire to be Irish during this yearly Irish day of drinking, food, and partying.
Music events of course will be very popular at the Downtown Disney area as the House of Blues goes nuts with almost nightly events. The House of Blues will feature headlining events including the WAILERS 30th Anniversary of Legend Tour, The Atari’s, the HIM 2014 US Tour, The Toadies, The Wonder Years, 80’s music from the GOT OC Presents, and finally Aaron Lewis lining up the month at the House of Blues. These events usually sell out quickly, but tickets are sometimes available day of events, and those interested in getting dinner at the same time can snag a ticket with the combo package offered at the House of Blues.
One of the biggest events in March will also take place nearby the Downtown Disney at the California Adventure. The CityRace, will be one of the largest scavenger events in the area, and takes place on March 9th and April 27th, 2014. Teams will need to use the best of their brainpower to power through Downtown Disney and uncover clues that are hidden around the park. Tickets are $47.50 per person, and tickets to this event are available in limited quantities for those scavenger fans among us.
The rest of March at Downtown Disney during March will highlight a number of local restaurant events, box office premieres at the local AMC theatre, and other events. The Spring Fling which has traditionally been held on Disney’s Main Street USA is planned to be happening towards the end of March 2014, but no official dates have been set by the park as of yet. From dining, movies, concerts, and scavenger hunts, the multitude of events happening at Downtown Disney is sure to keep adults and kids busy. It will be a very full month of Downtown Disney fun ahead in March, and only continues throughout the year here each and every day.
